After moving to the area in 1992, owners Jack and Roy Mayes, felt there was a real need for new businesses in the downtown Main Street area of Point Pleasant WV. Both have a background in the portrait industry and saw an opportunity to fill a need. The location at 511 Main Street was purchased in November of 2000 and after extensive renovation, Main Street Photography opened for business. After 7 years of serving our clients we continue to maintain a high level of quality and customer service and have enjoyed much success. Our photographer, Roy Mayes, is an award winning photographer with over 15 years experience in the industry. Roy is actively pursuing his PPA Master certification and is also a member in good standing with both the West Virginia Professional Photographer’s association and Professional Photographers of America.  We are a full service studio specializing in Senior, Children, Family and Wedding Portraiture. Being part of a small business community has afforded us with a high degree of visibility and along with it a sense of responsibility to give back. Last year we began the “Townsfolk Project”. Seven individuals from our local area were were asked to participate in a black and white character study in which they agreed to be photographed. The proceeds from the sales of these portraits continue to be donated to these individuals. The display of these portraits generated a lot of interest in our studio but more importantly it helped focus attention on the welfare of some of the less fortunate members of our community.
